PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
· The hospitality systems consultant supervisor is responsible for Opera products installation, maintenance, and support for all projects assigned to them.
· Responsible for documenting internal installation SOP’s and all project related documents
· To maintain high quality customer service
· To uphold adapt it Opera values and procedures
· To maintain customer success in all project implementations
· To maintain good customer relationships
· Implement new solutions that meet customer requirements.
· Troubleshoot software programs for databases, applications, and tools
· Build and maintain a deep knowledge set of solutions offerings against major competitors, working directly with the Solutions Engineering Lead and conducting market research to keep current.
Primary Responsibilities for the Role
a) Project Implementation
· Conduct Scoping meetings and Pre-Installation meetings.
· Hold telephonic meetings with Project Managers and Account Managers outside Johannesburg or communicate via electronic mail or MS Teams.
· Ensure that Installation standards are met.
· The HSC will ensure that each project will be completed within schedule.
· Conduct project sign-off meetings with the clients, during which the sign-off documentation is completed.
· Liaise with clients and manage each installation, training, refresher training, site visit or any other dealings that the company deems fit.
· Conduct internal HSC Training.
· Ensure that HSC are kept up to date with the latest upgrades and products
· Work closely with the Installations manager to manage complex installations.
· Produce training materials as required from time to time.
· Present training courses to other Opera Consultants as required.
· Ensure that there is training environments for HSC’s.
· Test and troubleshoot new versions prior to release.
Minimum requirements
Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirements
• Matric / Grade 12 / Equivalent
• Opera Product knowledge
• Minimum 3 – 5 years related experience within hotel industry
• IT qualification i.e. A /N , CCNA or IT Diploma; or Hospitality management qualification (will be an advantage)
• Opera System knowledge essential
• Must be available for duty on the supprt desk from time to time
• Able to travel
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable vehicle
